Planning to visit places in Dar es Salaam or elsewhere in Tanzania?
Here are a few suggestions and links to give you the beginning.
First, ‘Charity begins at home.’
Delegates are warmly welcome to virtually explore the University of Dar es Salaam, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Mlimani Campus through this link www.udsm.ac.tz and learn about the programmes offered, and research activities, among other things, to have a clear picture of where you will spend time for three days.
The following are some of the places within and outside Dar es Salaam that you might find amazing.
Dar es Salaam city tour: Embark on a full-day exploration of the bustling City of Dar es Salaam. Affectionately known as ‘Dar’, this once a slumbering fishing village has metamorphed into a blossoming metropolis. Your interpretive, privately guided tour takes you to the City’s top attractions such as the lively atmosphere of the Dar es Salaam’s Fish Market, where dhows dock at dawn to offload the night’s scrumptious catch. Please click https://doveadventure.com/dar-es-saalam-city-tour to get a snapshot of Dar es Salaam City and places to visit.
The National Museum of Tanzania hosts collections and exhibitions that you might be interested in. To get an idea of the museum, please click https://www.nmt.go.tz/.
Bagamoyo 19th Century Historic Town, Slave trade and ivory is another historic site you can visit. You can visit https://www.bagamoyo.com/index.php?id=history_bagamoyo for detailed information on what the site can offer you.
While in Dar es Salaam, conference attendees can opt to visit the Village Museum which is an open-air museum established in 1967 for the purposes of acquiring, researching and preserving the indigenous culture and architecture of Tanzania. You can have a preview of the Village Museum at Makumbusho via this link https://www.nmt.go.tz/pages/village-museum.
For those interested in safaris,  the link https://www.tanzaniaparks.go.tz/ can give you a gist of the options that Tanzania National Parks can provide.
For information on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, snow caped and the world’s highest free-standing volcano, please visit https://www.kilimanjaroparktanzania.com/.
Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world's greatest natural spectacles, with its magical setting and abundant wildlife (Cheetah, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Lions, Black Rhinoceros and many more). For details about Ngorongoro Conservation Authority please visit https://www.ncaa.go.tz/.
Lastly, two other attractive places, the Zanzibar islands and the Serengeti https://www.serengeti.com/  can give you soothing memories of the country.
