Fundraising

The humanities, on both the international and national levels, have limited government funding opportunities. The dwindling support decreases the chances of growth in terms of research and teaching in the humanities. The HRC will seek connections for funding in the humanities and provide information that will assist its members in writing grant proposals for funding.

Awarding seed money

One of the core activities of HRC will be to award seed money for pilot studies and summer stipends for writing grant proposals based on a university-wide competition. The Centre will allocate a portion of its internal grants to proposals aimed at fostering new research collaborations across departments and colleges.
